Keukenhof: Europe's flower garden
I am absolutely sure that the Netherlands is beautiful in every season. In winter the charming cities could be so pretty playing in Christmas lights, and in the summer months you can relax by the endless, sandy beaches. The trees along the canals could beam in the thousand shades of orange in the fall. But when it comes to choose only one season for visiting this country then I would choose spring again. Why? Because of the flower markets, endless tulip fields, the scent of hyacinths and the walks in the forests... The world-famous garden, Keukenhof is open for only a few weeks each year, from March to mid May. I've been dreaming this place for years and now I've been lucky enough to visit the flower garden of Europe.
Practical information
The adult admission fee is 16€ per person and the parking ticket costs 6€ for the whole day. If you are not arriving by car, you can easily reach Lisse from Amsterdam or Haarlem by public transport (and there are also a couple of organized tours as well but they are more expensive). Unfortunately the park is now closed - we were there on the last day before closing this year, but you can begin planning next year's visit! The garden will be open again between March 23 and May 21 in 2017.
Teljesen biztos vagyok benne, hogy Hollandia minden évszakban gyönyörű. Télen a karácsonyi fényekben játszó városkák hangulata, nyáron pedig a tengerpart puha, fehér homokja ejti rabul az utazókat. Ősszel a csatornák menti fák a narancs ezer árnyalatában pompáznak. Mégis azt gondolom, ha egyetlen évszakot választhatunk csupán az utazásunk időzítésekor, a tavasz legyen az. Miért is? Hosszan elnyújtózó tulipánmezők, tengernyi jácint, virágillatú séták... A Keukenhof mindössze néhány hétig, minden év március végétől május közepéig fogadja látogatóit. Évek óta vágyom ide, és végre ezt az élményt is átélhettem. Azt hiszem, a képek önmagukért beszélnek, így hát nem is szaporítom tovább a szót.

Praktikus információk
A felnőtt belépőjegy ára 16€/fő, míg az egész napos parkolás díja 6€/nap/autó. Ha nem autóval érkeztek, Amszterdamból vagy Haarlemből tömegközlekedéssel is könnyedén elérhető Lisse - de szervezett utakkal is találkozhattok városszerte. A park sajnos idén már bezárt (mi éppen a zárás előtti utolsó napon jártunk itt), jövőre március 23-tól május 21-ig lesz nyitva.
